She and I played hooky for the rest of the day, since Jacob was with the babysitter. We walked around the Village, went to a couple bookstores, did some shopping, and relaxed in the park. It was some very special mommy/daughter bonding time. Thanks, Zach, for financing our outing! New York is just fabulous when the sun is out and the humidity is low. Here's hoping that trend continues!
Life is hard. Hearts get broken.
She's fat, she's happy, and doing all the cooing, smiling, arm waving things that babies are supposed to do!
The only red flag is that she seems to have "asymmetrical leg folds", which could indicate that her hips are misaligned. So we're taking her in for an ultrasound next week to make sure everything is okay.
Next checkup is at 4 months- by then she'll be huge!
I wish I'd gotten a picture of the fire truck- it obviously made an impression! They were doing maintenance in the park and one of the fire fighters came over to talk to us. Best day ever.
