So proud of himself

One of my favorite moments.

The first couple days after he started walking, if Jacob fell down he would turn up to me with a grin and cheer for himself as if to say, "Great effort!" Adorable. Here is a video with all of his new skills: walking, cheering, and standing. It also features his love of doors/drawers.

First peach of the season

12 months

I haven't posted on the blog in an insanely long time, but we've been very busy! We went on a 2-week trip to the West Coast and got to see most of the people who regularly read the blog, so I don't fee too bad, but here are some updates on what we've been up to.

Jacob is learning some wicked new skills! These include:
  • WALKING! He is full on walking, on his own, EVERYWHERE. I'll post a video very soon.
  • Clapping
  • Signing "bye bye", "milk", and "food/hungry"
  • No words yet, other than Mama and Dada, but distinct sounds for dogs, bubbles, and Stella.
  • Four teeth! Two top, two bottom.
  • An intense obsession with opening/closing doors. Doors of all kinds. Cabinets, closets, anything. A drawer will do in a pinch, too.
He is getting so big and growing so much! We are stunned by how fast he is learning about the world around him and how much his personality is starting to explode. Every day is filled with fun and love and blessings!
