Lily snoozes through her first trip to the park

But, to be fair, she snoozes through almost everything.

Airplane

It's fun having daddy home all day! He's working overtime to keep us all entertained, fed, and relatively clean. Yay, Daddy!

Sweet kisses!

Jacob's "tiny baby"

First Night at home

Don't be deceived by the sleepy looking baby- all of her sleeping occurred well before we all got into bed. Turns out she's a night owl. Who could have guessed?!

Lily comes home

After a slightly longer-than-desirable discharge process, Lily left the hospital yesterday afternoon. Mommy, Daddy and Lily went home the same way they arrived on Friday- walking. It is debatable whether those 10 blocks felt longer when I was in active labor or with the soreness of a post-partum body, but it was sunny and warm an it was a perfect spring day to introduce our little Lily to her world!

Daddy and Lily

Lily Elizabeth Jost has arrived!

Team Jost is ecstatic to welcome Lily Elizabeth Jost to our family.  After about 16 hours of labor, at 9:43 p.m. April 15th, Lily made her grand entrance, weighing in at 7 lbs 7 oz and measuring 19.5 inches.  Mama and baby are doing great, and we couldn't be happier.

39 weeks

Jacob can't wait for baby to come! Today we went to the midwife and all afternoon beforehand he kept saying, "midwife! Talk to baby! Midwife! Talk to baby!" If you ask him what the baby sounds like, he taps his heart and says "thump thump". The heart monitor has made quite an impression. I love seeing his face light up when he hears the sound of her heart.

The midwife says I'm almost 3cm dilated, so Baby Girl could come any day. Or next week. No saying! We're just enjoying our time while waiting, but we can't wait to meet her!

Warm weather is almost here!
