Thanksgiving Day...parade?
We couldn't make it to the parade because we ran into road blocks - apparently you have to get there pretty early. But we had a great morning in midtown anyway, running around the city streets and exploring Grand Central. And we did see some big parade balloons, jut from a couple blocks away.
Another day, another doctor's visit
This time to check jacob's endless croup/cold and make sure it wasn't developing into an infection. The good news is that his chest is clear. The bad news is that he's basically been a walking zombie all week because he's having trouble sleeping.

Lily's first product: before and after
Lily has been suffering from what we call "Busey Head" lately, so we got some hair product to detangle her frizzy mess. So far, so good.

Nana and Papa pay a visit, Jostlings rejoice!
Nana and Papa managed to avoid to all the hurricanes and blizzards and we had beautiful weather for almost all of their visit. We visited parks, ate out, explored the city, and made some puppets. We wish we lives closer and could do this all the time!

Mommy-Lily times
Thursday mornings are the special Mommy-Lily time when Jacob is in preschool and Mommy is not working. We usually go for a long walk in the park- here are some park-cuddle pics of my adorable Beebo.

Tub-painting
Lily was potty-training and we ran out of patience with cleaning up puddles so I dumped her in the tub with some watercolors and that kept everyone happy for about an hour.
Zach's office was still flooded and being pumped four days after the storm
Still no word on when his office will be open again...but in the meantime he has an indefinite staycation with the kids!
Sandy's Aftermath
Our family and neighborhood fared relative we'll during Hurricane Sandy. We kept power/heat/water and didn't have any major flooding. Our biggest immediate effect was having many big and beloved trees down around the neighborhood. In the big picture this is no problem at all, but it did make my tree-loving little boy very sad and he continues to ask me, a week later, if Sandy is coming back to take down more trees and take more power away.
